Taupo Arts Report, Part II




I met the Knitterati! And they forced me at gunpoint to help them. (okay, they asked nicely)
Since I can neither crochet nor knit (tried both unsuccessfully in my youth) I was given something "children can do" - French knitting. Even after I told them my story of embroidering a project to my lap at age 7.


I'll revise this post later, but fun was had, and I contributed a very small (and badly done) section to a rendition of Lake Taupo that may actually hang in a public place! Do wonders never cease..

I had no idea what "French knitting" was either: see shot above of young girl with nimble fingers doing it. What do we call it in North America?
