These photos were taken on the beach across from the hostel in Whitianga around 7 am on May 20. By noon a cold cloudy front rolled in, by 3 pm it started to drizzle.

- Kia ora! When I was in my twenties, I worked and travelled around New Zealand for 4 months. I had the good fortune of returning for a 3-week visit in 2010. A lovely twist of fate took me to New Zealand again in April 2012, this time with my younger sister in tow. This travel blog covers our April 2012 trip, as well as my solo voyage of May 2010.
