I had a craving for some greasy chips and this little trailer at the Saturday market in Wanganui seemed like the way to go. In front of me were several people whose hot dogs (or corn dogs, as we know 'em) were frozen in the middle. You'd think that, and the foul misuse of the apostrophe, would have put me off. Nope.
Me: "Do you have vinegar"?
Surly teenager handing out the fries, after a cursory look around: "Nope, but I think sauce (ketchup) has vinegar in it?"
I went for the sauce.
I forgot to ask wtf "spiders" are. I know another food wagon in the market had "floaters" (something deep-fried) so I imagine they were along those lines..
